Well if you don't do it, it won't get done.
Life used to stretch out in front and was full of so many possibilities.
There still seems to be endless possibilities, but the time to complete them appears to be diminishing.
I realised a couple of years ago I needed to get on and do, rather than keep collecting for one day.

So here will hopefully be the story of me doing, the story of a 1200 coupe being prepared for Classic Rallying.
So far, it has just been collecting and sandblasting, hopefully this page will help keep me keep moving forward with this project.

Good stuff Vaughan. Have at it!
I couldn't see the video as it needed to download onto my phone. Maybe be good as a YouTube link?

Let’s try that again, I hope this really is the getting started post, it feels better
The car is now home in my garage, the wheels are off, front cross member and struts are out and I am measuring it for Square, well you never know. I am pulling it apart to repair the rust, after a quote of well more than the purchase price I have gained motivation to cut into it myself. So here goes.

Well as I said, I hoped this would be me starting to make progress, and this thread might help with motivation.
Look 2 posts in a week.
Car has been measured, may have been better not to have done this, now I know it is 5mm longer on one side. What do I do with that information?? I can see where the issue is, but it is too big a job to correct it, and fixing that will cause problems with panel alignment, so I will consider this while I repair the holes.
I will attach a shot which shows the extent of the issues with the floor, even if you ignore the larger lack of drive tunnel issue

The term ‘Swiss Cheese’ seems to fit

More light
Passengers floor almost gone, we where their feet go anyway, will need to rebuild sill boxes a bit, before fitting outer sill, the deeper you go…
Hopefully I have not bitten off more than I can chew

I wouldnt be to concerned about 5mm , spread between the front of the bonnet , back of the guard and door gaps, that really not a lot
