Datsun 1600 engine mount question

Hi guys,
I am attempting to put my 1600 back together, and I am having an issue with the engine mounts (I think)
Just wondering if anyone out there has a 510 with a standard L motor in it, if they could tell me the measurement from the back of the rocker cover to the firewall?
I have a feeling my engine mounts/crossmember/brackets are wrong, the motor seems to sit too far forward. The gearbox x member mounts are about an inch too far forward, and there's not enough space to mount the aftermarket radiation without interference with the fan blades.
Any help would be much appreciated!
