Looks great, sweet ride.
Funny how things stand out, the first thing I noticed in the photos were the guards and bumpers hanging on the wall, you wouldn't risk it in Christchurch, and instinctively I thought that wasn't safe, then had to reframe it to your environment. Love the shed, Jealous!

Funny, I hadn't ever thought of that, the possibility that they may fall off the wall in an earthquake. I suppose it makes you think differently about the storage of your pride and joy (and its parts).

Im just glad that the ground is pretty stable up here in the Waikato.

I do think of all you guy's down in CHCH when ever I hear of more shakes down there.

I am planning on going on a bit of a road trip round the south island when its finally finished (or at least the first incarnation anyway, are they ever finished?)

Do it, there are some great roads and no one ever uses them., well that's what it looks like, hardly anyone on them and really enjoyable.
Come down for the Dat Nats in October!

I never thought about it before Sept. 4th 2010 either, but the Z sports a nasty wee scar on the back for it's trouble in stopping a 1200 Guard hitting the floor!

Thanks Shannon, things are slowly coming together. Still not sure how or should I say where the funding is going to come from for the next stage of things??

How are things with your other Datsun 1600 coming?

Any progress? Two plus years of nothing.

Love this build, a lot of our inspiration comes from this car.

Got to catch up with you sometime to view as we are in Cambridge a few times each year.

Amazing build!!

My Valiant has been on a spit roast since I bought 5 years ago.....must try & do some work on it really......

Was the shell sandblasted or sodablasted? Was it a local crowd that did it? Cheers

Believe it or not, I'm back....

And after over 8 and a half years the project is going to continue! :guns:

The past 8 and a half years have been taken up with getting married and having 2 beautiful kids, moving house twice and having to move the car twice along with it.

In a couple of weeks she is coming home to be in the garage so I can continue the build (read: Saga).

I look forward to sharing the updates with you all.
