Hey guys,
I've been approached by a couple of guys from the lower north, wanting to see if those who are intending on heading straight to Ohakune from the ferry want to meet up with them for a convoy?
I think it's a good idea, personally, and there seems to be a good spot or two where we can meet with them on the way out of town.
What do you think?

Just had the in laws arrive down from Picton last night.
They have advised that this is a 7 hour drive at the moment with plenty of stops for road works and shit drivers.
I have Thursday off work and would like to leave as early as possible, ideally with a convoy.
What are peoples thoughts regarding leaving times from Christchurch?

I've booked in my leave finishing at 12pm on that Thursday. In March when I did the same drive left chch at around 1pm and got to Picton around 8pm, heaps of road works then too

I was planning on leaving after work on Thursday, aiming for Blenheim about Mid night. With having the family on board will have to fit to everyone's time table.

We're driving up on Thursday. But need to make a 2pm ferry so will probably leave here around 5.30am
