Thanks Kitch your time on this is much appreciated.

I unfortunately cannot attend (unless my friends daughter decides to become un engaged and the wedding doesn't go ahead in Nelson, but hope that is not the case).

I like the sound of this a lot!
What we used to do for the SFOS in Dunedin was great fun.
Same deal there, cars were pretty much stranded all day but people coped just fine.
Keen to watch the hill climb too.

On saturday night I had my 2K cup prize giving, and we had Kurt Aikman Playing music.
He hit me up about whats going on with our involvement with the Waimate 50 weekend.

Can the committee please liaise with me on this, we need to get an idea of numbers,
of people who would be keen, I dont want to go to trouble of organising if there is
only half a dozen cars there, we have a real opportunity to be involved with a
great event, and given the majority of the crowd will be "classic" type people we
will have an enthusiastic audience. Also this weekend has often split the Akaroa
cruiser people and the more motorsport orientated Waimate 50 attendees, so its
a great opportunity to do something different and get some healthy numbers to
attend.

We can have a dedicated park up / show area for the club, and also he has said he can
organise us all to do a tour of the track on the lunch break, which could entail 2-3 laps,
bit of noise and chirping of tyres I am sure would be acceptable!

Anyway I am old so the days fly by faster than they used to, and october will be here
before we know it - so can we please get the ball rolling with this, if need be, I can
try to find some time in the next month or two to pop up to chch for a beer and a chat
with the committee one weekend and sort out a bit of a plan.

Final details to come ,final meeting for this on tues.
club day Sunday , early meet up to be determined by race start time .looks like we have an area to park up and it will be on the outside of the track , so people who may only be able to come for a half day can join us,
There are some people keen on going down on Sat , kitch has proposed a plan to get some folks together for Sat ,but I need to talk to him again before I post anything official.
