I was of the impression that the car that won the year before got to be on this years T shirt is that not the go now ? Or is it because its a north island car just wondering and very disappointed Dad and I have been down the most out of any Northerners and really enjoy the time and the drive. Dad has messaged the admin people with no replies.

I highly doubt it was intended to come across like that.
We are not a spiteful club.
Everyone does these things as personal love and volunteer their time to drive and benefit of the club.
I did also wonder about last years car not being the focal point of this years T-shirt.

My opinion would be
I think there should be a 10 year anniversary T-shirt with the presented design
And an offical Nationals shirt with the winner of last years event.

As this is the 10 year anniversary we did want to do something different. Sorry if you feel hard done by, by this shirt but that is not the intention at all. For the 10 year anniversary we wanted to incorporate on the shirt cars that reflected the club as whole rather than a singular car. Adam has put it pretty well in saying that we do this as a love for the cars and people and it's all voluntary. All financial members are able to have a say in how the club is run. I don't why everyone seems to wait until its late too make complaints when we have been working on this for a long time. I received a pm Chris but it was just a quoted text from the meeting minutes I posted so was a bit confused there....

The message three days ago was the first I had known of the design for this years T-shirt. I too was confused about the design since it should really have Chris and Bernie's car on there. id feel a bit gutted if I was in their shoes. Can't it at the very least be added to the car collage?

Look it's far too late now to change the design or design a new shirt in time for Akaroa so I'm sorry but this is it for now. And like I said earlier we wanted to do something different for the 10 year anniversary. I'm sorry but if people don't like it then that is their problem. We work hard on maintaining this forum and club for everyone to enjoy. At the end of the day it is just a t-shirt we don't have to do one every year...

Also we'll be getting a small number of extras printed to have for sale at the grasskhana and Akaroa, if you want one it would be best to get in now.
