Nick, Adam and myself went on a trip to Japan with the aim of cramming as much car stuff in as possible in 10 days before they returned to NZ.

13minute video of the JCCA New Year Meet. The two major standout cars were the Super Silhouette R30 replica in the car park and meeting Teru and his famous 1200 coupe in person (at the end of the video)

IMPO some of those cars are bloody awful, just butchered!!! The R30 with the ultra guards is hideous.
Must be getting old. Obviously a lot of Japanese youth don't have much taste.
Would have been a great trip for you though. There were some lovely original examples there...

Depends what you are into. If your into that style those cars are pulled off perfectly!

Funny you say Japanese youth because most of the guys driving these cars in the car parks are 30-50 years old. All of these older cars are to expensive now for young guys to own. Even if a young guy finds a 1200 coupe and builds it up the perception is that he must have a fair bit of cash.

That R30 is a replica of this beast!!!!

and yeah, youth?? that was a trend over there when I was a teen in the 90s

a mild Bosozoku styled car I think is what they are over there

Awesome vid. So much porn in one vid. Them feels. I have been thinking of moving to Japan, but that would require me spending time to learn Japanese first, during a period of my life when time is in very short supply. One day!

We met someone from Canada who had lived there for 4 years.
His comment was, his Japanese was still just bearly passable.

It is right up the list for a few of us.
Such a hard language to learn though.
