Alarm not disarming.....
So for some reason my alarm won't disarm via the remote. Had no problems with it until I went to bring it home managed to get it to disarm with the other remote was fine for a few days and now it won't go at all . Have the siren turned off at the moment as it just keeps going on and on and on and on etc. The blue LED that normally flashes is permanently off which is strange. Have tried a new battery in the remote but no dice... Dan Datsunboy wired it up but it was working fine for ages so it can't be a fault in the wiring... Any suggestions????

Press the button harder
Replace remote battery's
What's the battery voltage.
All else fails check what the light signal means

Check you haven't managed to accidentally place alarm into valet/disarm mode. Try steps to disable valet mode and advise outcome

Hmm, I didn't read the original post correctly haha. I'd check any wiring to any external sensors or door switches. Also definitely check battery voltage/current, just in case it is too low and triggering the alarm.braasmonkey wrote:Check you haven't managed to accidentally place alarm into valet/disarm mode. Does the alarm have a valet/master button/switch you could use to disarm the alarm?

P.S. Sorry I couldn't make it around the other day, I ran out of time Hopefully next time I'm in town, the B will be on the road and ready for cruising

Re: Alarm not disarming.....
oh Yeah
I probally need to grab my batter back at some point.
Its either the one from my Z or Clares Z and has probably been sitting around for ages.
thinking about what brassy said, this has only happened since your battery had that little incident and could no longer be used.

Re: Alarm not disarming.....
Battery voltage = 12V
Replaced remote battery = no change
Push harder = nothing
Have disconnected battery for now but siren is still sounding when turned back on.

Re: Alarm not disarming.....
Is it a uniden alarm? If so you have to kick the RF wheel 3 times and make rabbit ears out of your pockets.
Annnnnnnd have you checked the fuse for the alarm yet??? It will be in the loom from the alarm unless you have a AVS.
