WTB: coilovers to suit b210, s13 camber plates

Post by beaver »

Right, need to go lower up front (b210 120y coupe) so looking at coilovers and thought Id try see if anyone has some available before building some.

I dont know what is compatible (note sure if 1200 or b310 struts will work?) so some advice would be primo.

Also on the lookout for some s13 camber plates.

Long shot but meh, worth a shot

Cheers

May have a spare set of camber plates if you get desperate...

As per Ginge's suggestion, HSD ones are the go.
AFAIK they are the only ones made in 45mm tube size
to fit the wee B110/210 strut tubes; unless that size
has been discontinued?....

They are pretty good value, and complete with C spanners &
captive springs etc.

here is my front strut setup:

You can get them in 45mm ID on trademe for cheaper so will go that way by the looks of it.

Shit adds up by the time you get shorter shocks, machinework etc. Almost temped to pick up some cheap s13 coilvoers with are body adjustable and just get a piece of thread pipe (internally) welded to the cut down 120y strut.

yeah I hear ya, it all adds up!

pretty pictures of mine there... but strut cutting & welding with the HSD sleeve kit, new camber plates, bump steer spacers, inserts, paint, new bolts..... added up to around $1300 :?

yeh my point exactly. I rekon I could do it cheaper with s13 stuff, only thing is making sure it will go low enough.

Dan Did that method with the Body adjustable stuff, he went with MRP, i think it was pretty reasonable priced and customized to his lengths and everything
