That's real unfortunate.

Remember kids, always use axle stands!

Pfft! Training wheels!

The moral is, don't use scissor jacks I'd say.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Even once a car is on chassis stands i like to give it the "push test"

Its sounds lame that I learned that in automotive at school but it sure works good, some people put chassis stands in less than ideal places too.
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30

When I was at Polytech one of the tutors used to say that if he ever saw anyone under a car not supported by axle stands it'd be a race to see if they could get out before he let the jack down, never got to see it happen though.

Just a Word of warning

Heard of a polytechnic tutor a few years back showing students how to put a car on axle stands. He put the jack under the sill in the middle on 1 side then jacked up the whole car! Then went around and did the other side! This as you are all aware isn't ideal! When he jacked up the other side the car slid off the stands! Safe to say he doesn't have a job there anymore!!!

I think it was Tony? He always used to go on about letting the claret out.
