Hi guys.Today i welded and fitted my 2.5 inch exhaust today.I am pleased with the outcome.A lot of you will think a 2.5 inch exhaust is too big for a NA 2.8L six.But this motor will not be in the car long as i will be building a 3.1L stoker for it some time next year. The rear muffler is very easy to take off as i may want to run a Boso style tip on it some time.I just need to weld the pipes above the diff which will pull the rear muffler straight.I also need to buy a fuel regulator before i can start her.

Been busy today, striped the two front guards and boot to bare steel and painted them with a 2pac resin type paint.Bought a Holley 1 to 4psi Fuel Pressure Regulator and fuel pressure gauge.Tryed firing her over still won't start.I am so stumped.Timing is spot on,good spark.Any one have any ideas? I am using the mechanical factory fuel pump i know its not ideal but it should still start the motor.

Hey dude - you may have installed the oil pump 180 degrees out - and you will have to drop the oil pump etc and turn it round - this will turn the d around that the dizzy sits in 180 degrees aswell.

Theres a vid on you tube about l series engine rebuilding that shows it.

Double check plug leads are in correct order as i find with these just 2 leads around the wrong way and they dont even fire up on 4.

So another busy day again fixed the headers as the steering rods were hiting them.

Good job, doesn't sound like it's running on 6 though. What was the problem with it not starting?
