2012 NZ DatNats Trackevening-Fri Oct 19 Read regs Pg 3 Audit

Post by classicdat »

Track booked for Friday October 19th from 5pm, you can arrive earlier if you want, Hopefully have 510 BBQ trailer fired up so bring a few bucks for some awesome club Sausages, or cook your own Steak

LOCAL ZED RACER HAS OFFERED TO TAKE PUNTERS FOR HOT LAPS, IN RETURN FOR DONATIONS TO THE CLUB!!! WHAT A TOP BLOKE This is "worth" $185 in a slow old V8, this will be much better!!
Where:
Ruapuna Raceway Husseys Rd Between Templeton and Yaldhurst
When:
5 pm till about 9 on October 19th 2012
Why:
? 'Cause we can! :highfive: I think this will be a very welcome addition to the Nationals
This is your opportunity to get out on the track and give it death, show us your skills and find out just what lap times you can do.
How Much:
$50 (That's Half price)
Financial members - $30 (So that's less than a 1/3)
The real bonus is you get to have a thrash with the best guys (& girls) around, and not an oil leaker in sight!
Pre-registration is required to secure the track, and your place on it!

The Original Proposal as posted:
I am looking at the possibility of the club putting on a track day on the Friday of Labour Weekend. The proposal is to have the track at Ruapuna to ourselves from about 5pm onwards. I have negotiated the use of the club rooms so we can have a BBQ etc. There will be a minimal std required for safety, we don't want this to be difficult to run. There will be a requirement for some marshalling but this should be minimal also. (apply here)
There is a small cost involved, but the car club are being very supportive and the cost should work out far less than if we join in the open practice on the Friday. Going in the evening also ensures us that we can get the track and not miss out as you can if public practice is cancelled for some corporate booking.
Another advantage I see to having the track after 5 is that locals don't need to take a full day off work, and those from out of town only have to arrive a little earlier, not a whole day.

Please give me some feedback, and I'll get it organised, if we don't act on this soon the opportunity might pass us by.

Thanx for the feed back guys, lets do this
