At 910 bluebird.com, (before it failed and went down) if you didn't fill in your location it just said "too lazy to bother saying" or some such. Are you able to make the location field mandatory when registering Dan?
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

just put in HUGE BOLD RED letters on the activation email saying:
