Glad they bolted up sweet mate - and you had no probs.... :thumbsup:

I miss those carbs already, as I just brought another A series car, that I could have chucked them on.... :cry:

well my car was smoking and burning a fair bit of oil, because when i first put sidedraught carbs on i put on 48mm dellortos on a 1600, so yeah bore wash and it could not recover.
so as we sit right now i pulled the head off, which has been sent down to henson and murray in taupo to get a port and polish, 2mm oversized valves, new valve springs and a stage 3 cam.
i have had the pistons out and cleaned, and they are now back in the block after honing with new rings and bearings.

im just waiting to get my head back from the engine builder and then it will be bolted back together, but im super stoked with how everything is going and its really fun rebuilding and engine that is your own.
