Ok so a big thanks to Fast4motion for sorting me a bumper, And Cassie for free-ish freight: much appreciation.

Managed to tear my key trying to turn the frozen lock and wound the frozen window off the regulator (Happens from time to time) this-morning. Big thumbs up to Ross Galt locksmiths in Hornby, gave him the fragile key and my fuel flap lock, he peeled out a key in a minute, i went to try it in car & a minute later he'd finished the spare ignition key too, $21..stoked! Thumbs down to Mr.Minit.

Cars going alright, still under-powered and often pops on the over-run or at low-accel cruising speeds. Im convinced i need to pull the engine again & degree the cam, as i never knew such a procedure existed when i built the A15, just counted the chain links and pointed markers as per manual. Cam is a Mace engineering MF1 grind. Ill need to ring them and see if they can assist with degree settings.

Are you still running the SUs? They don't like cams with long durations, pressure in the manifold upsets the dash pots. I had to take my race cam out and fit a more suitable one, not as lumpy, but way more drivable! It even idles.

Yes still on s.u's. I wasn't aware of that, it dosen't feel that big of a cam but if its out, then it never will feel great eh.
Idles fine with a lope, i have it at about 1000rpm, an y less and it wants to stall when coming up to the lights.

Cam timing could also upset carbs, so specs sounds like a good place to start.
Did you get someone to look at the carbs? I'd be able to have a look after you have cam specs if you want.

Brendan and I pissed about with the carbs, have only set them up by ear and smell.
I would be stoked if you were to have a look, will you be at Hanmer cruise weekend?

Yeah plan is to have 12ie at Hanmer, hope your car is sorted by then.
I did Akouroa Cruise with Lumpy as cam and SUs, cool but frustrating at times.
Kaikoura I ran Lumpy cam with Dellorotos, much more fun!!!
