Also the exhaust manifold is broken - a bit of the flange snapped off when removing it!
Yes they do broke!
Both my 510s have had them.
And I'm sure I've played with a couple others that did too.

A thin plastic washer behind the window winder.
The ones one my 510 coupe are black but other ones I've seen are kinda clear/ white.

Yeah I asked if he meant that washer on the previous page, but what he's describing doesn't sound like that at all.

Im interested in the diff- if you still have it? And is it the companion flange type or the bolt-in universal axle type?
