Stoked for you and the 610 Greg!

Just looking at ferry times, blue bridge have an 8am, 2pm & 7pm sailings for Thursday and Friday?

Also could ask the olds if we could park up for the night in Ashhurst. They have an old shed we could throw matresses etc down on and have marae style accommodation?

Just throwing some ideas down

so looking at accommodation one of the best options requires a three night minimum stay what are peoples plans is three nights too much or would you prefer a two night stay please let as know asap. If most are happy to stay three then others that only want two night could stay else were or we could negotiate with the place we are looking at. Also an indication of numbers coming would be great.

There will be
Shane I and two kids 510BRE
Shane is talking about Ohakune I pick, which is only 3 1/2 hrs from the ferry in favourable traffic. Do we plan to hit there Friday night making 3 night deal the go?
We will be up for 3 nughts accommodation one way or the other, would make Saturday relaxed.

Thoughts? I think Shane wants to get on to this.

See the first post for ideas so far Greg, then add what you would like to do, the discussion has been to Leave Christchurch Early Friday and stop North of Wellington, the suggestion now is to Push on to Ohakune for Friday night.
There was some interest in visiting Horopito Motors and then returning Monday, so we will need some discussion to sort timing for Crossing etc, but I imagine Horopito is not a 5 min stop.

Horopito Motors is a 1/2 day thing if you want to have a look through the sheds and sheds and sheds of parts as well
It is just amazing to ask them if they have a certain part and watch the brains start to churn away
Pretty accurate as to where everything is in the place though

Dead keen, and already have Thursday through to the following Wednesday off!
I'm in nelson so I'll meet up with the southerners on their way past.
Most likely just myself at this time (but you never know, there's plenty of time for a Datsun friendly lady to pop into my life between now and then haha)

I'm keen for the push right through (but I don't have the Lewis to deal with) so I'll go with the flow.
I just need to know about accommodation costs etc...
