Dan's two one twenty whys

Post by kobyn »

Thought It was about time I started something for my brother in laws two Datsun 120ys since he's to busy working not only his two Datsuns but also my always broken rallycar 1200 and his sisters(my wife) ground up project 1200 build ,being a panel beater painter by trade you'd think he'd hate working on cars out of work but no not Dan he's the man lol .

His 1978 120y was or is a SSS I see it as was as plates had died before he got it .
12a bridge port ,4 barrel carb
S1 rx7 gearbox hilux diff
Bluebird front suspension brake
15 inch rims
Road certed daily driven

Number two 120y is a 1974 standard model which is going to be his dedicated track car.
We did have it for sale ,here a few picks from when we got it ImageImageImage
Got a deluxe over haul for a quick sale that ever happened ImageImage
He then played around with it for shits and giggles lol ImageImage
Eventually I talked him around to building it into a track car which I've been on his case for years ,I think seeing my big roll made him realise it's pretty safe sport lol
Currently the project is
Ca18det and gbox
Holden vl front brake suspension lca
Hilux diff s4 rx7 disc brakes

Dummy block

How did the draw through turbo setup go?
The simplicity of them has always appealed to me.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
