1200 ute is pick up version of the 1200.... 120y is the model after 1200. Yes the 1200 ute was still produced quite late but is still completely different to the 120y

Some markets had the 1200 ute badged as a 120Y so he isn't wrong.

Did the utes have a chassis apposed to a unibody?
How was the tray attached?

No it was unibody. Tray and cab were all one structure like a sedan or wagon.

Adam I think the comment was referring to a 1200 Ute as we know it being marketed as a 120Y in some markets, as it was marketed as a Sunny in Japan.
