Grunter , you need to change your title post from "my utes" to include your horny coupe.

Plus post pictures of your mirrors and decals on.

haha not a bad idea Tony (once i figure out how to do it!!!). All i'm doing at the moment with it is driving on sunny days, my times been taken up battling the council to build on our lifestyle block and shift a house (wife's priority) on and build a Datsun barn/workshop/mancave thing (my priority-i can live in a shed)

just to get all my 1200's into one post: (this one wont be started for probably 6 months so dont hold your breath)

rescued from a ministocker (minus engine and gearbox). Was a bit dented on front drivers door, drivers guard, lower valance after an old guy put it through a fence.
Image
this dent popped out!!! (i finally found a good thing about thin datsun steel!!!)

Image
this dent didnt pop out....but door gaps are perfect and opens and shuts sweet

Image
grabbed by the mini stockers...was 2 owner car, found service records books inside

Image
just leaves and crap, 2 minutes with a vacuum and its like brand new!!!

Image
nice and straight....sparkles!!!

Image
nice arse!!!

Had a wof in Jan so i thought it couldn't be too bad?? could it???

so as soon as i got it home i pulled old carpet out, seats and front guards off. And....its the best condition datsun in all the usual spots i've seen for less than a shedload of cash.

Until i look underneath at front drivers chassis rail where front tension rod its welded. This had been damaged in the accident, but had the panelbeater next door to storage look over it for bent chassis etc and he agree's its not a big deal, its just limited to this small area. So apart from drivers door which is poked, from the front windscreen back doesn't need to be touched!!! interior is mint, and will not be touched apart from new carpet and new seatbelts

so plans are:
sandblast engine bay/underneath
repair rust/damage to mount
new guards/bonnet/frontapron/drivers door/bumper
paint
standard 1200 engine/5 speed
reg/wof

never aspired to owning a sedan and only went to buy a couple of parts off it but it was too cheap and too good not to grab, and it was only just around the corner from storage sheds!!!

I know all about house stuff, I'm always getting it in my ear about painting, fences etc that need to be done prior to my Datto.

I love that colour in the sedan, what a great score.

You need a wagon to get the full set! What a mean cave that would be / photo opportunity with ONE mans collection!!!!!

That blue ute looked very tidy, luvn the grey roadstar tho, sharp coupe too. The sedan was a lucky find, keen to see some pics of fresh paint when you post them
