Ok guys sorry it's been a few weeks I'm frantically working on my diploma, still running a radio show etc etc... (Although I did squeeze in a day at the drags on my bike :) )

So the cars back from getting the seats in and I'm a broken man

Turns out whoever told me to remove my factory seat mounts from the floor pan gave me the wrong advice.

IF YOU ARE ONLY GOING TO USE YOUR CAR ON THE ROAD NEVER REMOVE YOUR FACTORY SEAT MOUNTS!!!

Because I did the seats had to be mounted to msnz schedule a. I now need to join the car club, run a log book, and to get cert wof and rego run a lvvt exemption.

While I was planning on racing I wanted it by choice not too fully commit. I don't have s cage etc so the events a limited etcetc

I'm gutted!! Actually gutted but looking on from this I can now run my hyd handbrake

Guna go for some bolt on flares now if it's guna be raced it might as well look bad ass

I did however drive it across town for the first time in years!! It's awesome!!!!ImageImage

That sucks about the seat mounts man! But I guess you can do a few more mods than before haha. I was just thinking last night about how people told me to do things on my car and they didn't work....

You should be able to get new seat mounts certed if they're done to the spec in the NZ hobby car technical manual. (I can lend you mine if you like)
I was out at the drags on sunday too. (In a non datsun)

I could make you some replacement, factory ones, no low volume cert required, as I'm ( I car) accredited for repairs,

2 door i'm going to love you long time!!

I went and had a chat with the certifier this morning. and yes 2 doors can make me new factory mounts and as long as he can issue a repair cert it'll be all good

THE BEST NEWS EVER!!!!!

also had a chat about some other stuff Gregg you might be interested

Gearbox xmember doesn't need xray
Rear subframe adj kit, doesn't need xray.
Fuel lines in car all good just need a cover over them so you can kick them with your feet.

He was really helpful and offers a precert check to make sure its all good before the big day
