So this is the wee gem I just brought - was delivered last night.

Had a look over it this morning, it is sweet, very honest & clean.
99% rust free, straight, mint dash, and drives great.

Runs an A12 with oval port head & Twin Su's with factory 5 speed

This is a joint venture with me and my younger brother,

Plan is to put some of my spare wheels on it and lower it,
fit a new carpet kit (no carpet in at present) and put some
sounds in it.

Cool!
SGX? Does it have the special SGX gauge cluster which looks like that of 1600 SSS's?

Trademe photos made the paintwork look better than it actually is.
got quite oxidized roof & C pillars. also front left guard appears to have
been spray bombed.

run up a few km cruising around today after I put on my minilite wheels.
got a problem with it idling horribly high (2,000rpm+) just started doing
it on trip up from Alex, so whether something has happened inside the
carbs or perhaps it has a vacuum hose fail or something?... also it just
started pissing water out of heater somewhere.... so must have split a
hose or something.

Goes great though, and actually rides really well on the road, also the
5 speed shifts realy nicely.

Really stoked with it, and kids looking forward to rolling up to Akaroa in it
