Another day and a little more progress, today I installed the drivers seat belt , which I bought new last Friday, just the passenger side to install now. At some point the drivers side headlight blew but luckily I had a spare and swapped that over. I also managed to get the brake lights operational and installed the wiper motor and tested it, and it's working. Almost got out for a wee drive down the road but the Mr whippy ice cream truck turned up and I got waylayed.
Still a very small list of things to do , maybe a lazy days work and it might be ready for cert , hope to get it on a hoist Wednesday night to finish exhaust and install split pins on all the steering stuff.

Yip, exhaust is finished ,now exits out the back , drivers side seat belt is in , just need to mount passenger side belt and seat.
Wiper motor installed and working, need a gear lever boot and need to fabricate a driveshaft hoop, and install castle nut split pins.

no time frame other than I just need to keep chipping away at this thing, so close ,list of things to do is pretty short and getting shorter. was planning on ringing the cert man and finding out how much lead in time he needs to book it in.

Thats what my wife said, and then I told her nationals was in taupo this year and I was maybe not going cause its jesse,s birthday, she looked at the calendar and said, NOPE Jesse,s birthday is middle of the week after nationals so get the car done and we can do a road trip together, So looks like Sarah and I are doing nationals in the 2 door. (thats the plan anyway).
