So I brought the old girl to have a going Datsun for the summer
Also means I can attend Akaroa
My coupe will back out to panel shop next month, so some space in the garage

Yell out if anyone has a 210 Pedal box, to do a manual conversion.
will try to source clutch, flywheel, cable & gearbox locally
also after soe super-low springs for the front, will flip rear leaves

If it still has the oil shocks - get some aftermarket low springs - no super low available, you can move the strut cup if needed too - then shorten up your shocks doing it the way - Steve has done or Belfast Rangi Engineering.

I would have the leaves reset if you can - they get horribly stiff in the back with flipping - and only block up if you arnt going to keep it as they get a walk on HEAPS in the rear. (horrible feeling when you turn into a corner at speed, very unpredictable).

Ive got Wagon leaves in mine with new KYB's and its the worst riding car ever ( the flatties will tell you as all thier teeth have fallen out).

Also if you are going LOW low throw your bump steer spacers in aswell or it'll tramline everywhere.

cheers for the advice brocky.
yeah, I need it to be low, but legal, and trying to do that on a budget...

yeah already texting up my mate who does re-oiling of front shocks and fits the steam pipe spacer to hold springs captive.

all right, you have done the right thing, will look great with some slam, etc, reverse the top leaf and add a lowering block if need be.
leave the 12s on it as well for some old shool win :burnout:

Wal I brought it minus the 12" jellys - going to roll it on my coupe Techno racing wheels in the interim

85_Z31, its not a keeper, will do the manual conversion and slammage, and maybe a bit of JDM fender mirror and chin spoiler treatment, then it will be for sale when the coupe is nearing completion - ie probably in 6 months or so.

I love that steering wheel. Would you consider selling the steering wheel to me in return for a replacement? I also have a spare pedal box in chch and back home I have every thing else to convert to manual.
