Got the wheel alignment done.
Took it for a warrant which failed due to not being certified but the main plus was the only thing it failed on as far as not up to standard was the front springs weren't captive, which we knew any way so rapt with that. So , anyway, decided to take for a wee drive up the local country road for a photo opportunity..what do you think.

Also got the local old school engineer to turn a steering wheel centre as we didn't have one and wanted to keep the old "moto lite" wheel.

I won't mention the $200.00 fine Chris got when the local cop caught him bedding in the brakes later the same day...Chris more than mildly 'pissed off' to say the least.

It's certainly great to drive it. Hasn't had a warrant since 2001 so hopefully it will have one soon. And a rego to go with it.
Another Datsun saved.....
The only hold up we have is the speedo sensor.
Turns out the gearbox DOESN'T have a speedo drive or magnetic sender, in S15's they are on the diff with the ABS so we are waiting on an aftermarket sender unit from Merica.
Cutting it fine to get certed but I'm going in to see certifier today and see if he can do everything else and hope that the sender turns up in time before final approval.

Yeah, on my other dealings with the local cop he has been a GC but for some reason it sounds like he had been waiting to catch Chris, something about speed around Ashhurst and black marks on the road. Chris said he didn't know anything about it!!!!!

Got a picture of the cop so others can see what he's like.
