I just used Captain Transporter to get an undriveable car from Auckland to Wellington. Cost $480 but would have been a lot cheaper if it didnt have seized brakes...I got quotes from a few companys and they were the cheapest.

They were super easy to deal with, and fucking quick! I paid on Friday night (thinking the money wouldnt go through til monday) and it was at my parents door at 8am Monday morning.

to take two cars on the ferry with return tickets is over 500 + gas and goodies on the way its very expensive.

captain transport can do it for $506 inc GST from Auckland to Picton and ill just pick it up from Picton easily the cheapest way.

thanks for the help!

I had a car shipped from Wellington to ChCh by Pacifica, coastal shipping, was about 360 a few years ago, was the cheapest price, followed by Snailways (NZ Rail) but would have been even cheaper if it was a runner. Worth looking into coastal shipping if seller will deliver to the port.

Thats cheap as chips!!! We looked at bring the 140J down from Hamiltonish area and was way too expensive worked out cheaper for a plane ticket, gas, ferry crossing and potential fines!

Or maybe Dan just told me it was pricey so he could drive it down for me lol :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:
