Rebuilding A series gear boxes... 5 speed. How?

Post by twin120ys »

Hey guys i picked up a 5 speed for $200. No idea on condition so i want to rebuild it.

Not really sure how, have read things online and seems like a relatively simple process if you keep everything together.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

The big thing is having the right tools for the job.
A two or three legged puller, and a clamshell puller are invaluable.

I think I have a workshop manual for a gearbox in my email somewhere too.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
