1974 Datsun 120Y with Twin Dellortos

Post by bogannz »

Hi,

I have a 1974 Datsun 120Y (A12) with Twin Dellorto's and a Redline Inlet manifold and am having trouble finding suitable extractors. I guess I have four options here:

1. Get a different inlet manifold (and hope my linkage gear fits)
2. Get a new prefab exhaust (apparently Hurricane in .au make one, haven't been able to find which model suits best though)
3. Get a new exhaust custom built (expensive)
4. Modify my current Coby D2 to fit somehow

Does anyone have any bright suggestions for suitable inlet manifolds or exhausts.

Cheers

most of the manifolds ive seen, are on a slight upward angle, the angle allows the bottom of the inlet manifold to clear the extractors, I would suggest trying another inlet manifold, maybe someone near you could lend you one??

Take the manifold off and you shave 2mm off the face on a angel this will lift the carbs and improve air flow and clears extractors.
