Re: L26 Stroker

Post by Ivan »

This doesn't work. I've tried with my L26 motor. I was told by my engine builder that the L26's do not have the meat in the bore to machine the 89mm needed for the pistons for the stroker. Doing so would have gone through the water jackets in the block. Even machine the block out to suit an L28 86mm piston was to much.In the end I had to use my L28 motor. But at the end of the day is how much money you want to spend on it.I paid $1900 to get my L28 block and L20 conrods machined to suit the 89mm piston I had.
