New Zealand Datsun Club

This is the 10th and last year the lake Taupo Datsun cruise will run. Next year will see a new trophy and event. This will be the NZ Datsun Nationals north island cruise held on Labour week but with a new host town/city each year in the hope we get more people attending. This will mean that if you want your town/city to host the event you will need to be able to put in the effort to organize something, This is not finalized yet and will be something we will sort out before the end of this years cruise.

After checking out tukaanu and afew other places i think that the Bridge motel will be a pretty good location to stay and our room is already booked (but please dont feel you have to stay here if you dont want to) its got good safe parking with cameras watching, restaurant and bar on sight as well as super market, gas station, etc close by and theres no two night minimum like some others so those only wanting to stay the 25th are good. 24th Saturday
everyone make there way to turangi and to where they are going to stay (hopefully most if not all of us can stay at the bridge) dinner will be confirmed soon.

25th Sunday
10.00am meet up at the car park in front of the bridge motel. We will be leaving from here about 10.30 please use the time before 10 to make sure your car is fueled up and you have all the food/drinks etc you need for the day as there will not be anywhere along the way to get anything. We will be stopping at horopito for the day so remember your packed lunch it can be very cold there so make sure you have warm clothes, rain jacket and extra shoes that you dont mind getting muddy

Great idea to change it up I think that will help get the numbers up ,horopito sound awesome always wanted to go there so I might have try and make this one

Kobyn be good to meet you to if you can make it and yes we are hoping a change will help but there is every chance it could make it worse, The thing with Taupo is its only afew hours away for most of the island so gives every one a pretty equal chance of attending for a reasonable cost. If we say go to Wellington anyone from Auckland is looking at 7-8 hours driving there and home again plus the days drive for the meet and accommodation etc ends up costing alot and could put them off. But we need to try something it might work it might not.
