I am looking for a straightforward answer as to what spark plugs are the right ones for my S1 RB25DET in my 280ZX as it is having ignition troubles when I switch from granddad mode to angry dad mode.
I pulled out a spark plug today to see what is in there and it's an NGK BKR5E-11, I'm not sure this is the correct plug?
The Repco dude in Dunedin today gave me a 3 option list of plugs for this engine according to their database:
BKR5Eix-11 (iridium)
PFR5G-11 (platinum)
BCPR6ES (standard)
I'd like to go iridium but they are 28 bucks a pop.
Does anyone have any advice?

22401-75T15 is the Nissan number and is a reboxed PFR5G-11 according to Google.

Assuming it’s not massively modified you should in theory be fine with those. I’ve got no experience with iridiums so can’t help you there. Maybe try gapping down to 0.8 if you’re still having issues after that.

I would go with standard plugs and gap them correctly.
I learned my lesson. On my 510, I went with Iridum plugs, lost spark under boost.
Swapped out with new plugs that replaced the same that was in the motor and running sweet and it had the same issue. I then found out that I still needed to gap them even though they were the factory recommended plugs I had purchased.
Once I set the gap ran better than it ever had.
For Rb Gap them to 0.8mm or .023 - .028 inch.

The 11 in the spark plug name tells you the factory gap (1.1mm).
Get a feeler gauge or gap tool and set to 0.8mm
