Vehicle valuation

Post by NelsonDatsunGroup »

Hi team do any of you know if there is somewhere I can get a valuation done on my ute cheap or free for insurance purposes. Nelson/tasman region preferably.
I have a 1977 620 1500 flat deck, fully restored not show quality by any means but rebuilt to last another 40 Years. Lots of work done plenty of new parts but kept as original as possible.
Cheers.

Hey Man, welcome to the community, I have seen this lurking on Facebook, looking good. Make sure you bring it to the Nationals in October, we need some more 620 Ute Goodness.

Part of being Part of the New Zealand Datsun Club Inc. is supporting guys likes of yourself and myself with this sort of thing, we even get a good deal at Swann Insurance.

This is something I'd like more information on also.

I am with Swann Insurance however they would like a valuation of my car before committing to a higher agree'd value.
I see in the link above, you pay a membership fee and you can get access to valuations? Who does this and is it acceptable by Swann?

I would suggest your local Nissan Dealer as I had a revised one done by Armstrong Nissan In Lower Hutt last week for my Datsun 1200
To increase from $16,000 to $20,000 the increase in Premium with AMI was $3.65
AMI do not restrict mileage on Classic Cars like many others do now.
Excess is $100.00 but no under 25 year old drivers are covered

The only problem with that is they do not insure modified classics. So while you have a beautiful original 1200, many of us went the modified route and that limits who will insure it.
My orangatang 510 here.
