You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

While I agree with having a more stable forum without knowing the full story Im rather uneasy about the whole thing

I don't like the way this whole forum thing has come about either, but for now it gives us somewhere where we call all get together while the DOCNZ site is down, to me it's the lesser of 2 evils. No site or No members. Personally I was worried that the 1300 DOCNZ Members were going to drift away and lose interest, because for months they had nowhere to go.

What I am led to believe is, that this is just a temporary measure until the DOCNZ site is back up

I have to say guys.

I'm quite disappointed, this appears to me as a rather large slap in the face to Glen and all the work he's done in getting datsun.co.nz off the ground and keeping it going. Sure it's had some downtime recently but to potentially split the NZ Datsun members up with the creation of another forum, all for the lack of a little patience. Just isn't right to me guys.

The domain is registered to a John Southward of CHCH, and Dan is the second member to join so it's fairly easy to trace where this initiated.

I understand the frustration behind the lack of a forum but I'm not sure this was the appropriate manner with which to remedy the situation.

haha maldat.
I wouldnt even sign up if he started it.

yes, it was me who asked my mate to setup this forum.
not hard to figure out is it really? first user to sign up minutes after the forums creation?
anyway.
this was put up to be a place to talk and keep track of cruises e.t.c. whenever datsun.co.nz went down.....and hey....it works.....people are here talking!
when datsun.co.nz comes back online, I expect people to go back there......I will be.....since its got all our posts from many years!

dont see why people have a problem, this was not designed to replace datsun.co.nz
