Rakia Cruise March 3rd

Post by 2 doors »

Hi all, this year the Rakia cruise is set for the 3rd of march.
Meet and greet:
Rolly Pub carpark, just past BP on SH1 Rolleston 9.30am.

Depart: 10:00am
First we head south to Rakaia township stopping at (or near) the Big Fish to meet up with any locals or Southerners.
Heading inland (Approx 11:00am) to Methven for a refreshments break at the Blue Pub.

Then we'll be heading to the Rakaia Gorge for a sausage sizzle with the BBQ trailer and a swim if the weather is nice.

From there we head off home, with the option of stopping off for another drink at the Colgate Tavern if anyone is feeling so inclined.

This is also a very family friendly day, so feel free to bring the kids and start spreading the word!

See you there!

I'm so in! I'd better sort my rear axles and get new CV boots this weekend!

CV boots and new nuts and bolts fitted to left side axle (I'll do the other side in a few weeks), I'm ready for Rakaia!

Thanx for making this such a great day guys, really enjoyed it.
Was an adventurous day, few issues, and Greg must have set some kind of record, Breaking down before he could get out of the car park, at least it was an easy fix. 3 stoppages before the first pub is not the norm either, but everyone made it there, and home again I trust, under their own steam. Beaut day. Be great to get together again before Matt heads away at the end of the Month.

Was good to catch up with those who came and meet a few new people too. Really need to get a cover made for those relays in the passenger footwell.... ImageImageImage
