May I suggest a meet up for us chchians to get together and discuss things? Bit harder for out of town southerners but could be a good idea?

The plan so far is to catch the 8am Sailing on Friday Morning, this allows a relaxed Drive Thursday Arvo, or an all nighter, if preferred, getting us to Ohakune for a restful Friday Night and the beginning of a great weekend.

New Matters: (From June Committee Minutes)
Discussed travel to Nats from South and decided on 8am Friday Sailing, with a Cruise leaving Christchurch Thursday Arvo. Return crossing Monday 1:30pm.
Hayden to check how to make bookings to get "Group' discount on BlueBridge.

We need to get the Ferry Sorted

i SWEAR it said taupo when i posted that. whole thing is at okahune then. im staying in wanganui the friday night so will meet up with everyone early saturday morning.

im keen to have a meet in chch ASAP and discuss the game plan for ferry crossings etc. need to know how much to ask the bank for hehehehehe

iv booked my accommodation courtesy of the very kind bank manager.
close enough to all the pubs etc. no garaging though unless i was spending $450 a night minimum (the fellow saying accommodation was a premium was not kidding), so i got a house where i can sleep in a bed close to the driveway

Quietly hoping he has a contact for a house that will sleep a few which may be a cheaper way to go if a few are keen to do this.

Hey can you book me in on the ferry please. I have my accommodation sorted.

Hi Chris, Not sure how the ferry bookings go yet but will let you know and will include you in the numbers.

Book a Bach is a good place to start.
We use it for work all over the country.

We booked at Ohakune Top Ten Holiday park thinking most of the Datsun Clan would be there.

So I have spoken to bluebridge and I need a list of all people requiring ferry crossings and the rego numbers for the vehicles so we can do the group booking.

A 10% deposit is required with full amount due week or so before travel.

It is apparently not a problem to add people to the list.

I will start a separate thread for this tomorrow night.
