Been reading that a MGB set of headers will fit? Has anyone tried this?

Yes that would be your best bet, the J15 is the jap version/copy of the austin morris B series engine. so parts will be similar, also side draft manifold.

I have been using my dads MG parts guy to buy all little bits and pieces for my J15, manifold studs, washers, nuts, brass heater attachments.

MG stuff should fit, just remember I think the inlet manifold is integrated into the J15 stock exhaust manifold, so you may need to address that if you change.

Cheers guys and thanks for the help. Going to keep my eyes peeled for some headers in NZ before I go spending up large getting some in from overseas. :D
