Datsun 620 Parts Needed

Post by JOKERR »

Finally tackled down a 620, that needs a small amount work, mainly just finding missing parts etc...

So where is the best place to get new parts? I'm after new 1/4 window seals and weather strips for the windows.

Also does anyone have a spare chrome trim piece that goes on the front of the bonnet?

Will add more pictures when I pick the 620 up.

Cheers

Hey cool ute, i used to own it. The trim you speak of isn't chrome its just a painted steel moulding. The bonnets are notorious for rusting out on the leading edge, usually rusting the trim out with them. Try horopito motors, possibly have one there.

I may have a damaged one that could be repairable. (It would be free)

The 620s at Horopito don't have them. Just checked my photos from the club visit last year.

Could still be worth a call incase they have a loose bonnet in a shed somewhere? that piece of trim is quite hard to find.

Absolutely, no harm in asking. Ebay has a lot of stuff as mentioned already I think, particularly Thailand for 620 and 720 bits and pieces. They seem to go nuts for them.
