Re: DJZ's other other 2 seater 280ZX
Got another Aerotech front bumper for this, when I got the parts car it came with a very rough one that I was planning on putting on this car but this one came up pretty cheap and looked pretty decent with only a minor patch job on it, it needs a little bit of smoothing out but it's way better so I'...

Re: DJZ's 280ZX
The key to more power has arrived, Delphi 3 bar map sensor, now I can run up to ~30psi of boost. https://i.imgur.com/PGOZMbd.jpg The clutch pedal has been squeaking a bit recently, I had a look at it the other day and it's worn the pin and the clevis and probably the pedal, I think I'm going to repl...

Re: C-O-P, wasted spark, multiple coil set up A Series
Cheers DJZ, Ive done some quick digging and cant find anything called a toggle box under nzefi. Another name ring a bell? That edis system might be a go, seems more complicated than what I was aiming for (simple and reliable) Nah, it would have been custom I think, I'm pretty sure I saw it on a BMF...

Re: C-O-P, wasted spark, multiple coil set up A Series
I'm pretty sure NZEFI have made a thing to run multiple coils off an electronic dizzy before, it was called a toggle box I think?
A Ford EDIS system would be another option.

Re: DJZ's other other 2 seater 280ZX
Got the new rear sway bar bushes, shipping from Rockauto is fast. Put them in over the weekend, not a very fun job but I got there. Also did the fuel tank straps up and put the hose for the filler back on the tank. The rear end is 99% done, I have to get a split pin for the hand brake and bleed the ...

Re: DJZ's other 280ZXs
Tossed up for a few days on whether to spend $220 to get a new thermostat housing thing and decided I'd try and fix the old one first. Basically the flange that bolts to the engine is mostly gone and the long part with the cap fitting on it is broken off close to the main body. So I took a photo of ...

Re: DJZ's other other 2 seater 280ZX
Spent today doing odd jobs on this, put the near rear gearbox seal in, after cleaning up and removing the dust shield then having to weld it back on with James' tig on the wrong driveshaft I put the correct driveshaft in. Put the clutch slave cylinder and plumbing back on, filled it with fluid. Star...

Re: DJZ's 280ZX
Got some new mirror glass cut out by North Canterbury Glass, he gave me half a left over tube of the proper stuff for sticking them in so hopefully no more fall out. Haven't done much else, drove it out to work for the track day and James helped me bleed the brakes which improved them but they aren'...

Re: DJZ's other other 2 seater 280ZX
After the Nationals I got some of my mojo back for working on this. Have almost got the rear end back together, axles are in, sway bar is sitting on it's mounts with no links yet, I used them on the black car so need to get new ones, torqued the control arm bolts up as I left them loose when I put t...
