Re: anyone on here work for Holden?
Yep I'd agree it seems like new cars are not as reliable as they were in say the 90s. We have had d21 navaras at work, still have a d22, can't remember ever doing any significant repairs on them ever, the d22 has done over 300K now and is just starting to have some annoying minor things starting to ...

I'm thinking about getting a Holden (I know, I know... )
Would love to get some info and an honest opinion about the duramax 2 engine and more specifically the oil consumption problem I'm reading a lot about...

Re: 510 seat belt anchor points
That's awesome, thanks for that Andrew!
Looking at those pics the roof mount looks at least as strong as the pillar mount (although I am not a structural engineer ). I will show this to the WOF man and see what he thinks. I would rather have the belts in the existing location.

Re: 510 seat belt anchor points
Thanks guys. Yeah mine would be about 95mm behind the b pillar, that photo I posted is not my car, just one I found on the net. This is a photo of my belt mounting. Where my finger is pointing is the factory pillar mount. Like most people over 5'9" I have the seat right back and if the belt was...

Re: Possible meet with guests from DATSPORT
That is a very good idea. Maybe try to get some leverage on the whole anniversary thing to get a good turnout of 1600s. Hen hopefully owners of other datsuns will make sure they come so it's not dominated by 1600s. The 610 boys dealt to the 510 guys at the last NI labour weekend event!

Re: 510 seat belt anchor points
Interesting... I take it your headlining is still fitted?
Just had another look- my belts are mounted further forward than the ones in the pic. I hope they haven't just drilled the inner roof frame and bolted it on there somehow... was hoping it's a factory designed anchorage
