Re: My Prince Skyline Vid
Such elegant splendour! What other words can describe such a grand old lady? I can't wait to see this car in the flesh. It looks so clean and tidy too. The 1st thing I thought when you did a camera pan of the interior was, I wonder what it smells like? Does the AM tuner still work? Best tune in coa...

Re: My Prince Skyline Vid
Hopefully VTNZ agree with the condition and give it a wof. Havent re-rego'd a car in 20yrs. I guess that as it has already been registered in NZ in the past (twice: 1962 and 1992...lol) that it will be a standard wof check plus confirm previous registration, chassis, engine numbers checked, etc, or ...

My Prince Skyline Vid
My 1962 Prince Skyline Deluxe 1900, which ive finally got the fuel issue sorted, ended up being a blocked pipe. Decided to video the test drive. Turned out way better than expected. Will take it to the garage next week to get a wof check done to see if anything needs doing before I take it for a VTN...

Re: Small Datsun Collection
You have a pretty rare Gloria 6 there. Its a Japanese assembled one to NZ spec, which have a few differences to the NZ assembled Glorias. NZ assembly didnt start till early 1965 in Christchurch. The dash pic shows the hand throttle marked with a "T" next to the cig lighter. I assume this w...

Re: need help finding 1967 nissan prince skyline chassis num
I guess you have probably found it by now, but if not....it should be on top of the drive shaft tunnel between the back and front seat. You will have to take out the rear carpet to find it. Did you get a 4cylinder or 6cylinder GT Skyline? Bit of useless info...the NZ sold 65-67 S5 series Skylines we...

Re: Steve's Prince, Datsun/Nissan collection, past and prese
Much to Steve's disapointment, he's going to be abroad untill just after the Akaroa cruise. I bought some wheels off him recently, and he dropped that bombshell. That blue laurel is in incredible condition for it's age and kms. I get back the day after. Was cheaper to stay another night than find t...

Steve's Prince, Datsun/Nissan collection, past and present
I have been a long time reader and sometimes poster in the Prince Tech section. some of you will have seen my pics on other sites, but thought id share them with those that havent seen them. My 2nd main bottomless moneypit interest, other than cars, is renovating/restoring a 122yr old Villa in Rakai...

Re: L-Series 6 Cyl. Fuel Consmuption
I used to have a 1982 C31 Datsun Laurel 2.4 with the L24 carb motor and 3spd auto which used to return around 11.3km/l (32mpg) on an open road trip of nana driving. Thats around 600km of open road driving. The Motor World road test for the Datsun Laurel in 1981 says the fuel consumption guide should...
