Re: Luke's GA16DE Coupe

Hi Luke, Just to confuse you even more, as much as I love my side draughts if I was in your position I would be heading down the turbo A series road- bang for buck you simply cannot beat it. A simple log type exhaust and draw through an SU and you would have more than enough performance to put a hug...

60 series Close Ratio 5 Speed For Slae

Hi Guys,
There is a chap on Datsun1200.com selling a 60 series c/r box with what sounds like an Albins gearkit for $2000 ono.
That is bloody cheap so if you are after one, and believe me it brings the 1200's alive then here is a great chance at a very realistic price.

Re: Wiring An Electric Fan

Thanks Guys. Bart, I will in due course fit a thermo switch but in the meantime bearing in mind that we are talking about a race car I want to just run an on/off switch so I can manually control the fan. With a switch in the dashboard where would be the easiest place to tap into to get a power feed-...

Wiring An Electric Fan

Just finished front mounting a new 10" Davis Craig electric fan.
The kit came with a relay- is this necessary given that I am just wiring in a basic on/ off switch?
Also where would be the best place to grab a + wire to go through to the switch?
Cheers

Re: SRDATO new non datsun project (still a Nissan)

Unfortunately the down side of all this amazing power is the rest of the drive train. Nick's GTR ( since sold which is probably a good thing ) has blown 3 rd gear in 2 different gearboxes in less than a month and I wouldn't say he had been abusing it. Might pay to start looking at options.... Cheers...

Electric Fan

Can anyone recommend a decent quality electric fan suitable for the 1200? I'm guessing a 12" one would fit but I'v only got around 45mm to play with in terms of clearance between my radiator and the waterpump pulley.

Re: Steering upgrades 1200

Hi Tony, Have a look on the Pit Road website at their ones- that is the way to go unless you want to fit a female rod end to the end of the radius rod and have a mount fabricated for it to fit on the front rail ( in lieu of the original factory ones ) Do not under any circumstances try to make the s...
