Re: 510 wagon

When was this on Trademe? Good thing I didn't see it. This could have gotten me into serious domestic trouble.

Re: 510 wagon

I think you are right, house paint and $500 or $600 ring a bell and I think it was LHD. The other thing that put me off was when open the tailgate was about forehead height and using it for work I could see it would end in tears....mine!!

Re: WTB L Series 5 Speed Bell Housing

I have a 5 speed long box from a Z series motor it has wide ratios (3.6 1st gear) so is not very desirable as such. What ratios are your R30 boxes? Happy to do a deal just freight may kill it for both of us.

Good luck Andrew

Re: 510 wagon

I looked at a white wagon in Palmerston North about 13 years ago but decided among other things it was too scruffy. I was looking for a work wagon to replace a very tired 910. Dug deep and bought a Stagea RS4. Apart for its in love of petrol it has been a brilliant work house for over 12 years. Comb...

Re: E.O.I SELLING MY DATSUN 1600 WHATS IT WORTH

Craig, this is very sad news. I was hoping we might both be at Manfield at some stage in the future. While my car is not as tidy the mechanical specs are similar (L18 bored and stroked to 2 litre, Ross pistons, 219 head, bigger valves with Bryan Hartley port and polish, 2 x 45DCOE's etc) I recently ...

Re: Datsun 1600 front and rear window rubbers

James I nearly bought 1600 screen rubbers while in Australia. I learned the Australian cars had rubbers and chrome trim as part of their local content. The style is more like Holdens of that era. Unfortunately most of what is available is to suit the Australian spec. They imported 1600's fully assem...

Re: Any info on a 1600 510 1968 Ive just aquired

Just to add my two cents worth on differences from newer 1600's. The panel near the wiper motor is also quite different with the wiper motor mounted on a bracket. I see it has a delux badge so will have a clock, the non delux didn't. Also the pre 70 models where not assembled in NZ and have slightly...

Re: Buying stuff from over sea's

I also suspect some stock has been around for awhile and was bought when the NZ dollar was much lower.
