Re: 1975 H330 station wagon

Gaskets all sorted. fuel mix sorted too as it was idling a bit shit. Still seems to rev high when stationary but in gear 🫤 Got a spare axle (cheers Karl), machined up to suit by Gear Cutters Engineerong in Christchurch. Took a while to get back but they’ve done a good job. Simon Wood ended up collec...

Re: 1975 H330 station wagon

Sorted a 2nd hand axle, just need to collect it :burnout: Onto the next area, I’ve had an exhaust leak from the headers so pulled the exhaust gasket off and it was poked. Re: 1975 H330 station wagon

So after all that, I had to put it back to how I originally assembled it. My thoughts are, due to the axle being shortened and the reversed eye leaf springs, the assembly like the manual explains just wasn’t going to work. So flipped the axles/ backing plates and all assembled! 24230114-25C6-421C-BE...

Re: 1975 H330 station wagon

Tried to reassemble the rear axle today with the reversed leaf springs. Got it all together but I had the brakes cylinder at the top of the drum rather than on the bottom. 88C911C1-9100-41D4-A9A3-2CC993EB49B9.jpeg Did some research/phone calls and more reading of the manual. Looks like I needed to s...

Re: NZ Datsun NATIONALS 2021 - Masterton REGISTRATION OPEN

I’m thinking of staying in either the manawatu or Wellington and driving to event. Travelling across on the ferry but unsure when. Anybody else thinking of ferry dates yet?

Re: This Forum is Dead - we need to change it.

I hate Facebook but it’s the only way to get posts/ info for motivation. I’d be keen to know who even still comes onto this site?

Re: 1975 H330 station wagon

Bearing was fecked. Ordered a new kit off TradeMe which was cheaper than Repco. image.jpg Getting the locking collar off was something I’ve never encountered before. Grinder and cold chisel was the advice so away I went. :baseballbat: Didn’t have any large enough sockets to press out bearing so will...

Re: 1975 H330 station wagon

Cheers Brocky  Decided to pull the whole diff out tonight to give it a look over. Will give it a scrub and service. Diff whines above 70km so might swap the spare that I have in and see if any difference. Is there a way to pre-check my spare? Also, still have the issue with bird noises coming ...

Re: 1975 H330 station wagon

Drove it to Blenheim last weekend and it’s picked up a squeak in the back left wheel. Also now sounds like a tractor due to leak in exhaust manifold and pipe flange. Ordered some new seals from NZDatsunParts. Should be a quick fix 🤞. Jack’d it up spun the RL wheel and it seems to hook every 360*. Wh...

Re: 1985 GB122 1200 Sunny Ute

I recently delivered this to its new owner in Wellington. A young lad who seemed keen as and hopefully we will see him more in the Datsun community.
