Laps? Hmm, might have to do some work on the 240Z instead!
Or both? After last years nats, I just want to give the Datsun a little more Jandal. I’m too much of a legal pussy to drive fast on the streets.

Re: 1985 GB122 1200 Sunny Ute

You breaking the rules Tony, one Datsun to be running at all times. Nice to see the loving going on here. Do you think you can get it going for the SI DatNats this year? We are heading to Cromwell for some great roads and maybe even some laps at Highlands park, and Awesome Photo opportunities for a...

Re: 1985 GB122 1200 Sunny Ute

Covid19 time has allowed me to strip the Ute front end. Found more cancer, so will be sending Ute into engineers for some cutting and welding Engine is broken down and I started the rebuild but decided to do a little more to the A14. It’s now in Palmerston North at an engine builder friend of my bro...

Re: H75 vs H89 heads

I’ve got two engines in the shed I am working on. These are the plans for each. 1) A14 with H75 head. Original cam and dellortos. 2) A12 with H89, street cam, head planed & running dellortos. I have a 3rd A12 with G25 head (stock one originally in Ute). Will likely sell on. Have I done this right or...

Re: 1985 GB122 1200 Sunny Ute

My little brother has been living with me last few days. Been teaching me a few things about engine building. Just the layout is so simple yet makes so much sense. This engine is Hayden’s old one which he had in his Ute at one point. Nothing fancy. Just getting it up and running and putting on the 5...

Nice work...are you bringing the 1200, 1600 and the z?
I managed to change the gear box and diff oil today and my brother had his drone out for a test flight. Things pretty cool.
