I still reckon Tony Marshes 1/4 mile time of 13.6@101mph in the 1300cc shellsport car takes some beating... It was in circuit trim, running the hard old Dunlop 139's, Tall first gear. He's without doubt a very clever boy... The Manfield time of 1:17.6 is in no danger of being broken in a 1300 saloon...
